Summary:
Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources has an opening for a supervisor to supervise daily operations of a day program for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position will support individuals being served in a community-based day program. Position is located in Hattiesburg, MS.



For 40 years, Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources has served individuals throughout the Pine Belt.  Through an extensive continuum of care, we strive to enable adults with serious mental illnesses, children with serious emotional disturbances, and individuals with an addiction or developmental disability to live, work, learn, and participate fully in their communities.  Our nine county service area includes Forrest, Jones, Lamar, Covington, Greene, Jeff Davis, Marion, Perry, and Wayne Counties.  

Requirements:
Education/License:
  • Master's degree in Behavioral Healthcare required
  • Clinical license or DMH Therapist certification required within 90 days of hire
  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record required
  • MS Class C CDL required within 60 days of hire

  • Work Experience/ Skills:
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and to complete assigned tasks on schedule
  • High energy and goal-oriented; ability to follow through on projects to ensure quality service
  • Experience working with ID/DD population a plus

  • Responsibilities:
  • Implements Habilitation planning goals and oversees client progress towards strengths based goals.
  • Supervises daily functioning of Medicaid Waiver Services program for a specific location.
  • Coordinates and evaluates staff efforts to achieve program and consumer outcomes.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with families and the community.
  • Develops activity schedules for individuals participating in the program.
