Summary:
A Therapist is needed for Mobile Crisis Response Team in Hattiesburg, MS. This position will provide emergency services for clients in the PBMHR services area. Position is based in Hattiesburg, MS. Position has on-call duties. This program is 24/7 and may require coverage after hours, on weekends and holidays.
This position will perform a wide of services for the Mobile Crisis Response Team. The goal of the Mobile Crisis Response Team is to divert hospitalizations when possible.

Through an extensive continuum of care, we strive to enable adults with serious mental illnesses, children with serious emotional disturbances, and individuals with an addiction or developmental disability to live, work, learn, and participate fully in their communities. Our nine county service area includes Forrest, Jones, Lamar, Covington, Greene, Jeff Davis, Marion, Perry, and Wayne Counties.
Requirements:
Education/License:
Master's degree in behavioral health field required
Clinical license preferred
Must have valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
Reliable transportation needed to provide services in the community
Work Experience/Skills:
Working knowledge of mental health symptoms and how they present in crisis situations
Excellent communication skills required
Behavioral health internship required
Independent work ability
Responsibilities:
Coordinates with client's local mental health center staff to ensure coordinated, local long-term care.
Administers emergency diagnostic and therapy services to individuals in crisis, including family members and other stakeholders.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the consumer served.
Participates in team staffing and functions as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
Develop effective safety/crisis intervention plans that are client-centered and support strong therapeutic partnerships with clients and their families.
Assists in diverting client from more intensive levels of care and maintaining client in their home communities when appropriate.
