Children's Mental Health Supervisor

Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources has an opening for a Children's Mental Health Supervisor to supervise operations for a children's grant. This program will work with adolescents in an intensive outpatient setting who are in need of substance use and/or co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders treatment and recovery support services.


  • Master's degree in behavioral health field required
  • Professional clinical license required

    Work Experience/Skills:

  • Behavioral health internship required
  • Behavioral health experience required
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Efficient use of time management and energy by keeping thoughts free of obstruction in an effort to diffuse issues and needs of consumers
  • Ability to think independently to determine direction of work flow
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and complete assigned tasks on schedule
  • Ability to solve problems and resolve conflict in an efficient manner

  • Responsibilities:
  • Directs and coordinates activities for facility, including supervising and training staff.
  • Coordinates and provides limited outpatient services.
  • Conducts staff meetings and oversees attainment of goals for the program; general consultation, education, and advocacy to other community agencies.
  • Coordinates with clinical treatment team and other staff and department heads as needed to determine best practices for efficient program operations.
  • Will engage youth and families in a substance use disorder (SUD) treatment approach, while focusing on the goal of abstinence of substance use by the youth, and resulting in an increase in pro-social, successful community, home and school performance.
