Summary:
Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is actively seeking to fill Active Treatment Technician positions at our Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) in Gulfport, MS. The Active Treatment Technician will work under the general supervision of a registered nurse while assisting consumers according to treatment plans.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree and has a significant role in direct consumer care and is a fundamental element in providing a safe and therapeutic environment for consumers.
CSU is a 24 hour facility.  Positions available for all shifts. Weekends and Holidays are required.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Behavioral healthcare preferred
  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record required
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal skills necessary to deal tactfully and effectively with people in crisis situations
  • Demonstrates ability to accept direction and responsibility for the care of consumers under treatment for psychiatric disorders

  • Responsibilities:
  • Accepts emergency/crisis calls. Responds to front-line first responder needs via telephone.
  • Triages calls according to intensity, service needs, critical timing, and assignment of staff.
  • Assists residents in all areas of physical care and hygiene of patients.
  • Documents client behaviors observed during shift and charts into Electronic Medical Records.
  • Participates in activities for clients.
  • Prepares, gives, and participates in instructional training.
