Summary:
Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources has openings for full-time Clinical Assistant at our Crisis Residential facility in Laurel. 

The Clinical Assistant will work under the general supervision of a registered nurse while assisting consumers according to treatment plans. This position has a significant role in direct consumer care and is a fundamental element in providing a safe and therapeutic environment for consumers. Evening, Night and weekend time shifts available. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in behavioral health as well as a professional and compassionate demeanor.

Requirements:
Education/License:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • CNA certification would be a plus but not required
  • Valid Mississippi Driver's License with satisfactory driving record
  • Will pass CPR, MANDT, and other required testing

  • Experience/Skills:

  • Experience working with the serious mentally ill preferred
  • Experience assisting with front line emergency/crisis calls preferred

  • Responsibilities:
  • Act as models for appropriate behavior.
  • Performs other work-oriented tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Assist in daily treatment needed by consumer. 
  • Will eat lunch on site with participants and take breaks on site.
  • Will remain on site for entire workday, except as authorized by supervisor.
