Summary:
Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is actively seeking a caring and diligent Residential Crisis Clinician to provide counseling services at our Crisis Stabilization Unit located in Gulfport, MS. The Residential Crisis Clinician position plays a vital role in PBMHR's ability to provide crisis counseling services to adults with a serious mental illness diagnosis.

This position is Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Previous experience in a residential setting and/or with SMI diagnoses preferred.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree in behavioral health field required
  • Clinical license preferred
  • Must be able to obtain Clinical license or DMH Therapist certification within 90 days of hire
  • Must have valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
  • Excellent communication skills required
  • Behavioral health internship required
  • Independent work ability

  • Responsibilities:
  • Asks appropriate questions as required by the clinical intake documentation, to elicit information.
  • Assists consumer in establishing realistic therapeutic goals appropriate to the problems presented.
  • Participates in team staffings and functions as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
  • Provides clinical therapy services and emergency services to consumers and their families.
  • Provides written record of consumer's progress through the therapeutic process.
  • Uses information obtained in clinical observations to suggest diagnosis and severity of condition.
