Summary:

Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is actively seeking an energetic and motivated Juvenile Outreach Program (JOP) Clinician to provide therapy services to youth and adolescents within the Harrison County Youth Court system.  The Clinician will be responsible for individual therapeutic services at the Harrison County Detention Center, group services at the Harrison County Youth Court, clinical services for youth involved in Harrison Youth Court and serve as a liaison between Harrison County Youth Court and Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources.

This position is based in Harrison County and works a standard work week of Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Requirements:
  • Master’s Degree in behavioral health required
  • Behavioral health internship required
  • Prior Juvenile Justice experience preferred
  • Professional clinical licensure preferred or must be able to obtain DMH therapist certification within 60 days of hire
  • Experience working with Youth Court systems preferred
  • Behavioral health experience preferred

Responsibilities:
  • Provide youth with juvenile justice involvement the behavioral and mental health services necessary for successful transition back to home, school and community
  • Increase access to mental health services for youth with juvenile justice involvement
  • Enhance collaboration with Detention Center, Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources and Youth Court Staff
  • Educate and train Youth Court staff on services and program available to youth
  • Participate in team staff meetings and local MAP meetings
  • Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team
