Summary:
Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is seeking a motivated and caring Children's Day Treatment Specialist to provide services to a classroom in Harrison County.  Position is based in Gulfport, MS. The Children's Day Treatment Specialist is vital to Pine Belt Mental Health's ability to provide behavioral management and clinical therapy support services to youth in Harrison County. Previous experience working in school setting preferred.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree in behavioral health required 
  • Professional clinical license preferred or must be able to obtain DMH therapist certification within 60 days of hire
  • Behavioral health internship required
  • Behavioral health experience preferred
  • Must have valid driver's license with clean driving background
  • Must have auto insurance with liability limits of 100,000/300,000/50,000 within 30 days of hire
     

  • Responsibilities:
  • Provides behavioral management, clinical therapy support services and emergency services to consumers and their families.
  • Takes initiative by identifying tasks for classroom activities and completing them.
  • Participates in team staffings and functions as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
  • Provides clinical therapy services and emergency services to consumers and their families.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of consumers and diagnoses for each. Develops treatment planning based on individual.
  • Ensures goals and objectives for consumers are specific, time-limited, and measurable.
  • Monitors class census and provides weekly report of census to supervisor.  Encourages class attendance.
  • Demonstrates ability to work cooperatively with parents as evidenced by parent satisfaction survey.
