Summary:
Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is actively seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide services to individuals in the Pine Belt Mental Health service area.  The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner position is a vital role in Pine Belt's ability to help treat individuals, support the continuous improvement of therapeutic programs, and deliver exceptional patient experiences and clinical outcomes via telemedicine or in clinic settings.

This position will be located at Pearl River, but not limited to Marion counties to provide services to adults and children throughout the Pine Belt Mental Health service area. 

For 50 years, Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources has served individuals throughout the Pine Belt.  Through an extensive continuum of care, we strive to enable adults with serious mental illnesses, children with serious emotional disturbances, and individuals with an addiction or developmental disability to live, work, learn, and participate fully in their communities. Our eighteen-county service area includes Amite, Covington, Forrest, Franklin, Greene, Hancock, Harrison, Jefferson Davis, Jones, Lamar, Lawrence, Marion, Pearl River, Perry, Pike, Stone, Wayne and Walthall Counties. 

Requirements:
  • Must be a certified psychiatric nurse practitioner in the state of Mississippi
  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record preferred
  • Personal transportation needed to provide services in assigned counties during the month
  • Must have auto insurance with liability limits of 100,000/300,000/50,000 within 30 days of hire
  • Experience in psychiatric nursing preferred

  • Responsibilities:
  • Provides follow-up medication evaluations and monitoring of adults with serious mental illness and child/adolescents with serious emotional disorders.
  • Provides general psycho-therapeutic nursing and educational interventions to clientele.
  • Monitors consumers receiving medications.
  • Provides emergency services as needed.
