Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is actively seeking to fill an
Active Treatment Technician
position at Westway our crisis stabilization facility in Laurel, MS. The Active Treatment Technician will work under the general supervision of a registered nurse while assisting consumers according to treatment plans. This position has a significant role in direct consumer care and is a fundamental element in providing a safe and therapeutic environment for consumers.
This is a Full Time position and Westway is a
24 hour
facility so weekends and holidays may be required.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degre
e in behavioral healthcare preferred
Valid driver's license
with satisfactory driving record required
Demonstrates good interpersonal skills necessary to deal tactfully and effectively with people in crisis situations
Demonstrates ability to accept direction and responsibility for the care of consumers under treatment for psychiatric disorders
Responsibilities:
Accepts emergency/crisis calls. Responds to front-line first responder needs via telephone.
Triages calls according to intensity, service needs, critical timing, and assignment of staff.
Assists residents in all areas of physical care and hygiene of patients.
Documents client behaviors observed during shift and charts into Electronic Medical Records.
Participates in activities for clients.
Prepares, gives, and participates in instructional training.
