Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is seeking an energetic and caring
Licensed Practical Nurse
to provide services for a
group home
in
Columbia, MS
. The Licensed Practical Nurse position plays a significant role in coordinating medical services for all group home participants and for providing all nursing needs for the group home. Position is PRN. Will work with clients with SMI diagnosis in a residential group home setting.
Group homes and other types of supportive housing combine housing and services in an enclosed and supportive setting. Participants in supportive housing share rooms or rent individual apartments in a location set aside for people who meet specific criteria. Participants also have access to staff 24 hours per day.

Through an extensive continuum of care, we strive to enable adults with serious mental illnesses, children with serious emotional disturbances, and individuals with an addiction or developmental disability to live, work, learn, and participate fully in their communities. Our eighteen county service area includes Amite, Franklin, Forrest, Hancock, Harrison, Jones, Lamar, Lawrence, Covington, Greene, Jeff Davis, Marion, Pearl River, Perry, Pike, Stone, Walthall, Wayne Counties.
Requirements:
Valid MS LPN license
Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record required
Must have auto insurance with liability limits of 100,000/300,000/50,000 within 30 days of hire
Behavioral healthcare experience preferred
Has a desire to work with consumers who have a serious mental illness diagnosis
Responsibilities:
Ensures the health, safety, comfort, and welfare of each individual in the home.
Observes medication compliance of residents.
Provides educational classes to residents of the group home.
